ABOUT THE CLASS: In this class, you will learn techniques to clarify your artistic voice, develop your work professionally through structure, and create your writing practice. Whether you're a beginner or looking to overcome writer's block, this class will give you the tools to write in abundance and let your creativity flow. ABOUT THE TEACHER Amy Schwabauer, a multi-talented professional from Cleveland, Ohio, is known for her work as an actor, playwright, and toy theater creator. Her diverse portfolio includes traditional, miniature, and improvised performances. Notably, her solo show "This is Not About My Dead Dog" received acclaim at the 2019 Borderlight Fringe Festival, and she achieved further recognition with two shows at the 2022 Borderlight Fringe Festival. Amy's versatile and accomplished career also encompasses co-creating and performing in various productions, including "Coco and Gigi," which won the "CAN Journal Best Visual Theater" Award. Furthermore, she is associated with esteemed organizations, including the Dobama Playwright’s Gym, the Chicago Midwives Artist Collective, and Imposter's Theater Cleveland. Amy holds a B.A. in theatre from Cleveland State University and completed sketch comedy writing training at Second City Chicago in 2016. Cancellation Policy

Contact the instructor at least 24 hours before the class to request a cancellation or reschedule. If you need to cancel the course after attending no more than four sessions and also paid in full, you will receive a partial refund. If you cancel after attending four sessions or more, you will receive a credit for the remaining sessions that can be applied toward a new course or class.
